We have all heard about this in the past weeks, and opinions of the impact very widely.
Ethically, Yahoo has done the right thing. Finally. Being forced to by their sponsors aside, this is something long over due.
Everyone likes to complain about Yahoo's free chat service for one reason or another, but the reality remains. Yahoo doesn't provide chat out of the goodness of their hearts. Which means, the only way to bring about change is to lessen profit margins. That's just business.
So all those complaints don't have that much impact. It's when the sponsors get wind of abuses that could harm their image. I just thought I'd point that out.
The fall out from the decision to close user based chatrooms is of little concern to Yahoo. Displaced chatters can complain all they want, and take it out on chatters from the Yahoo sponsored rooms. It won't change a thing as far as Yahoo is concerned, and frankly, why should it?
Chatters should be looking at this issue as a positive step towards making one part of the internet less abusive, and safe for everyone.
Perhaps they will begin monitoring the rooms for the very things chatters have been complaining about for years.
One can but hope.
There is another issue that affects displaced chatters, and their re-location into estabished rooms that remain.
This has been very apparent in Religion 1 the past few days. The room is always full now, and it's difficult to get in. We can deal with that.. life goes on.
However, the issue of territory has brought with it a lack of concideration. This is going on with both sides of the chatroom.
A few of our regulars chatters took it upon themselves to reject the displaced chatters before they became abusive. This of course is silly, and not a way to behave.

Chatroom Retards

Ok.. I've left this blog for awhile because the original intent was to wake people up, and it worked. Along with some help from others who were tired of the shit.
But some still remain.
Personally, I don't really care anymore. Mainly because I have so much on my plate, I don't pay attention to possible infestations.
Booting has slowed down, but is still there, in the dark lurkings of friendly fire.
Those who have good chat clients, and decent computers are safe. And most of us know who to keep on ignore to prevent it.
So that's no biggie really.

But

There still are those in the room who continue to spread lies, and animosity in order to gain ground in some self perceived personality contest.
Not jokes mind you.. personal attacks aimed at others who have stayed silent for a very long time until prevolked to the point there is no other option but to kill it aggressively.
Some are just too stupid to see they are the target of this .. simply because the room is tired of their shit.
They become room retard fun.
Like Peto, who is fighting tooth and nail to be accepted in a room that has watched him attack others for no real reason for YEARS.
What goes around .. comes around.. as they say.

Ok .. so it's been awhile since I've had the need to post in this here blog.
But sometimes you just have to point out the fact that evil still roams the Religion 1 room.
Mind you.. for those who are paranoid.. and there are too many to list here.. that I'm not pointing fingers.
However... if the shoe fits.. and all..
Personally.. I could give a shit about the drama in chat these days. I guess that's why I'm the target for this "new" booter.
It's sad really, if you think about it.
Unless you "conform" or "go with the flow" of chat.. well .. they just boot you.

I find the reason for getting booted so far has been related to politics. Which I find quite ammusing.. concidering it's a "Religion Room"
But we won't go there.. because I could be hunted down and "killed like a chicken"
That would be pretty cool .. actually cooler than say .. Jesus!!
But .. I have a life now, and as disturbing as that may be to some people.. it's a fact.
I also have a right to say what I feel, even if it isn't what the room wants to hear.
Anyone that thinks I don't .. must be .. well .. retarded frankly.
So as of late.. when I chat.. which is rare now .. I tend to joke a lot. And apparently the "peace loving" group of chatters, claiming they are the best thing since sliced bread, cause they are so "peace loving" and all... have decided my jokes are so offensive that I must be destroyed. So they kill me. Cause they are so "peace loving" and all.

Everytime I even joke with a troll about politics.. I get this.

Sure .. it's funny, and trust me .. knowing what's behind it makes me laugh harder than you will ever know.

So keep up the control of opinion b00terz, because it totally defeats your argument of how we have no voice, and how much better you are than say .. anyone that disagrees with you.
You truly suck beyond words, and if I had the power, I'd give Iamsolite this boot code.. just to piss you all off.

Time to start people thinking (again)

I haven't been writing here or otherwise for awhile now.
Lets just say.. I've been busy.
However.. I have noticed some really disturbing trends coming up in chat, that I MUST speak out against. (even if my dear friends have fallen into the darkside)

I look at chat as a community, always have, and I don't intend to stop. When it gets to the point where I leave chat.. it means you all suck. Could happen.

Case in point:
Booters

For some idiotic reason.. booters are now classified as bad, reformed, or *good booters*
I don't care who you are, or why you boot. You suck.
Booting in any form is a method of control, driven by personal preferences, or popularity.
Booting is the control asserted in a non real format, that can't be attained in that persons actual life. You can't , for example, boot your mother-in-law cause she pisses you off. So instead, you go into chat and run scripts on people who would kick your ass in real life. I've said that all before, and I will NEVER make an exception in any case.
The last few months, I have watched as Religion 1 regulars are loosing the concept of freedom, to suit their own needs.
The room has allowed quite a few known booters to become part of the room, and have actually encouraged booting anyone that offends or disturbs them.
This sickens me.
I have listed a few known booters in this blog who have somehow weasled their way into Religion 1 by befriending regulars. The funny part about this?
Booting has not stopped because of their *so called* alliance with the room. It has increased dramatically.
I wonder why the same people who claim these booters do the room a *service* refuse to use MSN, which is moderated.
Are they that stupid that they don't see the similarities?
Sure they are.. because it satisfies their egos.
Those that scream about censorship so strongly, are the very ones that coddle these *reformed* booters.
They play them like fiddles. Directing them to boot who they do not like.

So it's only ok when it suits your needs?

The NCO was founded on the principle, that any denial of service is wrong.

He's still a murderer, and you are his willing cult member.

Because you are an idiot.
